Steven Horsford has been elected by his fellow Democratic state senators to lead the state senate Democratic caucus. He will take over for Dina Titus, who has decided to whup Jon Porter over in Congressional District 2. (RJ) Whether he will be minority or majority leader of the state senate depends on the outcome of [...] Just in case you were wondering was Nevada State Senator Steven Horsford’s been up to: He’s been hanging out with Congressman Jon Porter (who’s developed a case of POTUSphobia) and complaining about Governor Jim Gibbons’ proposed cuts to mental health:

They’ll be needing two residents from the [...] I noted awhile ago over in the Vote Gibbons Out blog that an astroturf organization called "Nevada Prosperity Project" was targeting State Assemblyperson Marilyn Kirkpatrick. (VGO) Now they’ve posted on State Senator Steven Horsford and given him a 63% approval rating. They didn’t like his votes for a state minimum wage hike or for keeping [...] Poking through my e-mail, I noticed that the Barrack Obama campaign had dropped me an note about all those people who endorced Obama for president. State Senator Steven Horsford was among them. I thought Nor’Towners might enjoy the write up from the e-mail about Horsford: Senator Steven Horsford Senator Horsford brings a tremendous amount of [...] State Senator Steven Hosford bucks the Clinton trend and endorses Barack Obama for prez. Gets his name on MSNBC, too. (LVG,MSNBC) Nor’Town is number one in growth. (Sun) Mayor Mike must be ecstatic. Let’s drive a bulldozer over some bearpoppies to celebrate. Another bit from the same Sun story tells us just how pathetic Nor’Town is. You see, the only other newsworthy item tells us that somebody named a strip mall. Woohoo. Elsewhere: see State Senator [...] So, the Nevada legislature finally came to an end early this month with only a short special session to clean up a few details. Let’s see how Nor’Towner legislators faired in the post-legislature media morass: Jane Ann Morrison was not pleased with Kelvin Atkinson for tabling seat-belt legislation which would have allowed cops to pull [...] You can still catch the rather one-sided debate between Senators Steven Horsford (D-near Nor’Town) and Bob Beers (R-near Nor’Town) over on the May 24th edition of Face to Face if you hurry.
