Huh. I was looking over some accounts of the Clark County Commission race in 2004 when Shari Buck and Tom Collins went at it in the general, with Collins eventually winning. My interest was peaked by Buck’s denial that her side of the commission race wasn’t particularly “negative” or “repulsive.” Oh, the drunk driving [...] Others have talking points, quick hits, or gleanettes. Nor'Towners are stuck with Sludge Cakes! A reader spotted the following note over on the Nevada State Democratic Party site from which we learn that Nor'Town Councilguy Robert Eliason and Clark County Commissioner and cowboy hat fetishist Tom Collins are supporting William Robinson's run for Mayor. [...] Well, well. Mr. Collins got his cooked noise test back on the sound levels at the proposed Clark County shooting park, and commenced to gloat. (Sun). I say "cooked" because the report the Clark County Councilcowboy and the National Rifle Association rep in charge of the project are waving around mysteriously conflicts with the results [...] Gubewannabe and lame duck Nor'Town Mayor Mike Montandon will be hosting a clay shooting event to raise funds for area Boy Scouts, tastefully announced over on the site Ammoland.com, which has all sorts of neat pictures of bullets on it. (Ammo) Now, I'm not saying that's necessarily a bad thing–given that pretty soon you won't [...] Jon Ralston pretends he's interested in Nor'Town politics and predicts Shari "Binion's Bucks" Buck will be the next mayor. (Sun) Oh, you can't tell the councilpeople apart? Buck's the one who is using city workers for her election effort. That we know of. One of Nor'Town's guys on the Clark County Commission is having [...] Boy howdy, I know I've got the wrong job. I was looking through County Commissioner Tom Collins' finance reports and I found out how much political consultant Gary Gray made off of the, um, "race" for district B. 13-Feb-08 Gray & Assoc $8,626.29 1 14-Feb-08 Gray & Assoc $50,000.00 1 17-Jul-08 Gray & Assoc [...] Hmm. Saw this in the Sun: Last week, after Gary Gray, one of the valley’s top campaign consultants, was accused by a former client of acting unethically on her behalf, one of the questions raised was: What are the implications for Gray’s wife, County Commissioner Chris Giunchigliani, and other candidates and officeholders for [...] That seems to be the position of candidate for Clark County commission, Tom Collins. In an email to the editors of the Moapa Vally Progress, Collins made the following remarks in reaction to a letter circulated by Congressgal Shelley Berkeley which purported to express Clark County support for her proposal to turn Gold Butte into [...] I’ve been remiss in keeping the campaign page updated, so I’ve added a few things, like: Some info about the District 3 state school board race, including the recent news that candidate Willia Chaney owes the state a whole lot of money: A candidate for the State Board of Education owes the Nevada [...] Tom Collins is a Democratic candidate for Clark County Commission, District B, as well as the current incumbent.
